Start your day in the great outdoors with our delicious Blueberry Cream Cheese French Toast Casserole! A perfect combination of sweetness and creaminess to fuel your camping adventures!
Ingredients
- 12 Cups Bread Diced into 1 inch Cubes (We prefer Brioche but simple white bread will do just fine!)
- 2 - 8oz Packages Cream Cheese Cut into 1 inch Cubes
- 2 Cup Fresh or Frozen Blueberries
- 12 Eggs Whisked
- 2 Cups Milk
- 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 4 Tablespoons Butter, cubed
- 1/2 Cup White Sugar
- 2 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your Camping Dutch Oven to 350 Degrees
- In a large mixing bowl, add Eggs, Milk, Vanilla Extract, White Sugar, Cinnamon and combine thoroughly
- Into the mixing bowl, add the bread cubes, blueberries and cream cheese. Carefully fold ingredients together
- Let the mixture sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the egg mixture to soak into the bread
- Line your Dutch Oven with a baking liner
- Add the entire mixture to your dutch oven
- Top the mixture with cubed butter and a sprinkle of additional cinnamon and sugar
- Cover and let bake for 30 minutes or until center is firm and surface is lightly browned
- Serve with Syrup if you prefer!
